This week features Star Wars Day, May the 4th, and there’s a lot to celebrate. Disney launched a teaser video for their new working lightsaber, Disney+ is launching The Bad Batch, and Baby Yoda is still the stunning surprise hit of The Mandalorian. Fans are freaking out, and to see how some celebrate you have to look no further than checking out the coolest Star Wars tattoos.
We did some digging on Instagram and tattoo sites to find some really awesome ink featuring what we think are some of the coolest Star Wars tattoos right now. We found some of the worst Star Wars tattoo fails also, but that’s another story. Check out our favorites below.
Top Star Wars Tattoos — Baby Yoda Edition
Lots of great illustration for this little guy. The fans have spoken!
As the artist wrote on Instagram:
I had a lot of fun with this tattoo.
The face was slightly referenced by a drawing from another artist. The rest is original. #babyyoda#babyyodatattoo#disneyplus#themandalorian#thanksforlooking#starwarsjedifallenorder#starwarsgalaxysedge
Cute Illustration, It Is.
Angry Baby Yoda
There’s online debate about how much The child looks like Gizmo from the movie Gremlins. In this tattoo, that could certainly be the case.
What Do You Think?
Anyway, back to the tattoos.

Cutesie Baby Yoda
Here’s the translation from the Spanish-language Instagram post. If anything reads funny, blame Google Translate.
I’m watching the series of “The Mandalorian” and I’m FLIPPING. One of my favorite ones already. Obviously I could not resist designing a Baby Yoda because it is the most adorable thing in the galaxy. It seems that I am not the only fan around here and, as soon as I made it available, Lucia’s bonus reserved for me the design and in a pee pas she has it on her arm (and in her heart … look at that little face! comoooo)
Don’t Make Me Cry, Baby Yoda!
Those dang eyes get us every time!
Mischievous, He Is…
Just look at that smirk and you know there’s trouble following. And we’re not talking about the blaster-variety.
We Think That’s an Arm
Super graphic, super detailed, super cool. (We can only image the pain this person went through for all that ink.) The Child looks a little old, but hey, he is 50 after all.

O.G. Bounty Hunter
The detailed tattoos on this artist’s Instagram account will blow you away. Here’s what he said about this one:
Super fun #BobaFett from a few days ago on my buddy Dre. Thanks man! #starwars #starwarstattoo #neotraditional
Another Serious Fan
As @self135 said on Instagram:
Finished Jedi: Fallen order just in time to tattoo this sick Darth Vader yesterday. That game and The Mandalorian almost make me optimistic about the future of #starwars 🤞🤞🤞

More Darth Vader
Not exactly as you may have imagined him, but really cool nonetheless.
And Speaking of Unexpected…
They always said Princess Leia had her head in the galaxy but this is crazy.
While her brother Luke always had his brain in a fight.
And Speaking of Fights
This guy decided to honor Luke losing his hand at the end of The Empire Strikes Back.
While This Person…
Just honored the Jedi’s greatest weapon.
Honoring the New Jedi
Love this Instagram artist’s handle. Here’s what they said about this tatt:
Throwback to this dark side Rey tattoo. Who else is super pumped for episode 9!? What are you looking forward to seeing most!? Let me know in the comments! –
Let’s Not Forget the Bad Guys
The painterly style of this body art is insane. We’re not sure of the technique the artist used, but we take our Imperial helmet off to @oddboytattoo who created this.
One More Stormtrooper Tattoo
This one gets extra points for being a tattoo, based on the ceramic mug, that was based on the characters in the film. Also points for the tea bag on a string coming out of the top.
The design looks like it’s from the Droids animated series from back in the day. Don’t know what that is?
Star Wars: Droids – The Adventures of R2-D2 and C-3PO was a 1985 animated television series. It was a spin off of the original Star Wars trilogy and ran on Saturday mornings for kids. It follows the adventures of R2-D2 and C-3PO (hence, the full name of the show) as they face off against gangsters, criminals, pirates, bounty hunters, the Galactic Empire and other threats. In Star Wars canon, it takes place four years after Revenge of the Sith and fifteen years before the first released film, A New Hope.
